Wesley Institute offers theology courses as a Bible College / Christian Arts College and indeed as one of the leading Theological Colleges in Australia. It provides training for Pastors, Ministers, Youth Workers, Missions including Korean Theology Courses as well as Christian Higher education in English. Theology courses include Master of Theology, Master of Theology (Korean Medium), Master of Theological Studies, Graduate Diploma of Theological Studies, Bachelor of Theology (Honours), Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Theology (Korean Medium), Associate Degree of Theology and the Associate Degree of Theology (Korean Medium)

The School of Theology is part of a widely focused Christian training college. We offer a wide range of theology courses to suit and enhance our students learning and career opportunities. What is more, our Christian college is proud to have a unique educational approach – combining ministries of the Word and the arts.

At our Christian college, theology courses are offered alongside counselling courses, teacher training and the creative and performing arts. The result is a diverse and stimulating environment for study and learning. Additionally, students studying at Wesley Institute are exposed to a range of urban programmes offered by Wesley Mission.

What also makes Wesley Institute so unique is that we are able to intertwine the ministries of the Word and the arts in order to communicate the Gospel effectively in contemporary contexts.

FEE-HELP is available for eligible students. Undergraduate courses also qualify for Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy.

Wesley Institute encourages cross-cultural dialogue and integration between disciplines. Academic staff are particularly committed to exploring and facilitating integration between theology and the arts, and have pioneered studies and research reflecting this dialogue.

Career Opportunities

The courses present a wide range of subjects from which students choose their specialisations and pathways. Potential careers would include the specified ministry, youth ministry, hospital chaplaincy, prison ministry, missionary service, and lay ministry in churches or parachurch organisations. The addition of the Institute's Graduate Diploma of Education to the Bachelor of Theology enables graduates to be accredited secondary school teachers or chaplains.
