Education Courses for Teacher Training
Applications are open for Semester 2. Apply now and study Teacher Education in 2013!
The Master of Teaching (Primary) and the Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) are graduate teaching qualifications with a distinctively Christian perspective on education. Delivered through online learning, providing a flexible and convenient way of studying, they extend an appropriate undergraduate degree with teacher training to provide the teaching qualification required for teacher registration.
The Master of Arts (Religious Education) is a signature degree for accomplished teachers, and for existing and emerging educational leaders of schools and school systems.
About the Courses
Our education courses acknowledge and embrace the tremendous fulfilment and satisfaction that is a part of teaching, and the many opportunities teachers have to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young adults. At Wesley Institute, teacher training is offered alongside religious education (professional development for teachers), counselling courses, theology, and the creative and performing arts.
The education courses are written from a Christian worldview and delivered online.
The Master of Teaching (Primary) and the Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) prepare generalist primary teachers or specialist secondary teachers to teach in independent, state and, in particular, Christian schools. When you complete your teacher training at Wesley Institute, you gain the teaching qualifications that will fully prepare you for a fulfilling career in education.
