Our courses are practical and professional, combining creativity with industry skills. Internationally renowned guest artists and educators visit regularly and interdisciplinary projects are encouraged. Opportunities are provided to tour and perform in numerous community and cultural settings.
FEE-HELP is available for eligible students. Undergraduate courses also qualify for Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy.

As a graduate, you will be recognised by other accredited institutions and by employers in all sectors of the community.
Completion of the dance degree can lead to employment in dance performance, arts administration, or of community based arts projects, teaching dance or creative movement in studios, or teaching secondary dance (with the completion of the Institute’s Graduate Diploma of Education).

Our Facilities
Studies are offered in dance facilities of industry standard. Technique classes are held in four dance studios with barres, full length mirrors and sprung floors. There is a performance theatre on campus, fully equipped with sound and lighting systems and backstage change rooms and bathrooms. Studios and classrooms include audio and visual facilities, and the School of Dance has its own wardrobe department. Sets are usually constructed and stored on campus. Most dance productions are staged in either the Wesley Institute Theatre or commercial theatres around the city.
