Adele has had an extensive and varied career in Dance, having performed, adjudicated and choreographed to international acclaim. As a performer, she has represented Australia in 3 World Championships and is one of only two Australian dancers to have won National Titles in 4 styles of dance. She choreographed for Strictly Ballroom, multiple television shows, commercials and celebrities, including ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘Strictly Dancing’ on ABC TV. Adele was also awarded the United States Heritage Award for International Services to Dance in 2001 for the coordination and choreography of the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony.
Meanwhile, she has maintained a private Dance studio over a period of 35 years, whilst also teaching from Primary to Tertiary levels within the NSW Education system. Currently, Adele is the President of the International Dance Organisation (Australia) and a director of the Australian National Dance Association. She has taught and enjoyed many styles of Dance, with a particular passion for the Latin American style. She has had a great deal of success as a teacher and mentor to both aspiring and international prize winning Dancers and is grateful for the opportunity to pursue high standards in holistic Dance practice at Wesley Institute.

Ronne has an extensive career in Dance and Choreography, having trained in both Australia and the USA. Ronne completed his degree in Dance with a special emphasis on Laban notation in the USA then he moved to Australia and completed his Masters Degree in Dance at the University of Sydney in 1991. Ronne has a career spanning over 30 years in Dance teaching, Directing, Choreography, and Performance. Ronne is also a member for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship committee at the University of New South Wales. He is the representative for the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group on the NSW Board of Studies. Ronne has been teaching at the Wesley Institute since 2003.

Alberto has 20 years experience dancing internationally. Alberto has performed and choreographed in Asia, USA, Europe and Canada. In 2001 Alberto was awarded honorary Ambassador at large for Guam. He is the recipient of the dance scholarship at the Metropolitan Dance Theatre in Manila and he is a member of the American Guild of Variety artists. Alberto was chosen to be the Official Representative of the Philippines in the World Professional Latin American Championship and then went on to be the Official Representative of Australia in the World Professional South American Showdance Championship in Russia. Upon completing this event, the Australian government granted Alberto permanent residency under the Distinguished Talent program. In addition to this Alberto was a Dance lecturer at the University if the Philippines (Diliman) and the Bulacan State University.
Anca Frankenhaueser

Originally from Finland, Anca studied at the London Contemporary Dance School. Anca danced with the London Contemporary Dance Theatre (LCDT) for 15 years touring worldwide. In 1987 Anca was appointed Rehearsal Director and Company Teacher for LCDT. In 1985 she graduated with BA(Hons) Contemporary Dance from the University of Kent. Anca finally travelled and settled in Australia where she has been Teaching and performing since 1990.
Maya Gavish

Maya recently moved to Sydney from Israel. She has extensive stage experience resulting from numerous performances and shows as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. Maya completed her training at Broadway Dance Centre and Steps: New York, Cologne Conservatory: Germany, The Place: London and the Academy of Dance - Israel. Maya has performed in Modern and Jazz dance companies in Israel. Some of her other performance and choreography credits include various T.V productions and the Jerusalem and Karmiel Dance Festival. Maya is a qualified teacher currently completing a Master in Dance and Education. She has also taught extensively for several prestigious studios in Israel.

Norman’s career started in athletics and very quickly moved into dance and then into choreography. During his dance career Norman has worked as a performer, choreographer, teacher, director and producer. Norman’s teachers include Margaret Chapple, Valrene Tweedie, Elisabeth Dalman and Jennifer Barry-Knox. Norman has freelanced around Australia creating for companies such as Ballet Victoria, Queensland Ballet and Tanya Pearsons Sydney City Ballet before forming his own group called Busybodies. He has taught actors at NIDA and Australian Theatre for Young People. Norman has toured both nationally and internationally. In Australia he has also worked on the syllabus advisory committee for the Board of Studies as planner for the current HSC syllabus.
Alysia Hodges

Alysia has an extensive career in dance teaching and choreography spanning over 18 years. In addition to Jazz technique, Alysia has taught RAD classical Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary technique to students of all ages. Her works include Channel 7’s Carols in the Domain, MO awards, Sydney Festival Global Dance weekend, NSW Premier’s concerts and three dance tours to the USA. Some of her students have appeared in Billy Elliot, Shout, and another has been selected for the Australian series of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. These are only some of the examples of Alysia’s wealth of experience.
Chris Horsey

Christopher Horsey is the winner of the 'Fred Astaire International Tap and Jazz Championship' (Waldorf Astoria, NYC). He has performed in The Frank Sinatra Concert (Sanctuary Cove), and alongside Stevie Wonder in 'Quincy Jones, 50 Years In The Business'. He was in the original cast of '42nd Street' in Australia as well as performing in 'Chicago - The Musical' and 'Singin' In The Rain'. He played the role of Big Deal in 'West Side Story' and performed in many other variety shows. Chris created the role of Tip for 'Hot Shoe Shuffle' and was a guest artist at The Olivier Awards at The London Palladium. As a founding member of 'Tap Dogs', his performance at the Union Square Theatre, New York earned him a Village Voice OBIE Award. Last year Chris returned to '42nd Street' for The Production Co, this time playing the role of Andy Lee. Most recently Chris was seen in Chloe Dallimore's 'The Letter' in which he played two supporting roles and co-choreographed. Amongst other choreography credits, he choreographed 'Karaoke - The Musical'.
Wendy James

Wendy has worked as a costume designer for various Ballet and Contemporary Dance companies performing throughout Australia. Wendy has designed costumes and sets for productions such as Crusin, Tommy-The Rock Opera, Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat, West Side Story, Annie, The Venetian Twins, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Fiddler on the Roof, and The House of Bernarda Alba. Her areas of specialty also include Fine Arts, Set Design, Make-up, Dance Photography, Graphic Design and Sculpture. Wendy has extensive experience lecturing in the creative and performing arts.

Tiana is a Sydney based choreographer who has been performing in front of sell out crowds since the age of 13. Tiana was discovered during her time as a lead dancer for Boy Band Kulcha by the chart topping Dowlut brothers of Australian R&B group Kaylan/Disco Montego. Since then Tiana has continued on to work with National and International artists such as Guy Sabastian, Chingy, Joe, Nitty, and 112, Kyle, Selwyn, Shakaya, Killa Queens and Mercury 4. Tiana has also choreographed and performed at many VIP events including Fashion Week Runway Show and the Australian Dancehall Queen Championships. Tiana worked alongside Anthony Salame (star of Fat Pizza on SBS) as Stage Director of the ‘Anthony Salame’s Christmas Special’. Amongst other things, Tiana devotes her time to being head Director/Choreographer for the annual Australian African Council Charity festival. Some of her most recent achievements have been to earn a place as a regular Choreographer on channel 10’s hit show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ (Australian season 1 & 2). Her latest achievement has been choreographer in the 2009 Australian Dance festival. A success at the age of 28 and is without a doubt one of the best in the Dance industry.

Margaret Kaye has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method of Movement for over 22 years. Margaret is a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and member of the Australian Feldenkrais Guild. She graduated from the Melbourne Feldenkrais Professional Training Program in 1991, and has operated an active practice since for over 20 years. Margaret became a teacher of the Feldenkrais method having healed her self of a debilitating injury using Feldenkrais Techniques.

Born and raised in Oxford UK, Valerie has dedicated her working life to the teaching of dance and is proud to acknowledge the success of her pupils. Valerie trained at Elmhurst Ballet School and the London College of Dance. After teaching in the UK for 2 years, she migrated to Australia in 1963 to teach for the Lorraine Norton Ballet School, subsequently becoming a partner. The year 1991 saw the start of Danzartz Performing Studio, which Valerie ran successfully until 2005.
Valerie has adjudicated extensively and been in many related activities including the Suzuki Association of Australia for whom she staged 20 Opera House Graduation Concerts involving over 800 musicians.
Her passion and involvement coupled with a love of theatre has resulted in her being able to give her students the benefit of learning about artistry and musicality, together with a strong technical base.
In 2006 Valerie was invited to take up a teaching position in Osaka, Japan and returned to Wesley in 2008 .

Sean is the recipient of the ‘Most Outstanding Choreography” award at the 2008 Fast and Fresh, youth Dance Festival and was invited to present in the Short, Sweet and Dance Festival in 2009. In this festival, Sean presented a second work ‘The Office’. Sean is a member of youMove, performing in works by Emma Saunders, Vicki Van Hout and Jodie McNeilly as part of youMove’s inaugural production ‘This Way Up’. Sean most recently performed in DirtyFeet’s production ‘Tipping Point’ featured in Martin Del Amo’s work ‘The Reset Quintet’. In September 2009 youMove is produced his new work P.S. and performed it on tour at Dancehouse in Melbourne as part of Dancehouse’s Open Studio Series.
Laurence Moldavsky

Laurence has been competing in Latin American since the tender age of six years old. In that time he has been the undefeated Australian Youth Latin American Champion, and US Open Junior Ballroom Champion. He represented Australia in two World Dancesport Championships; namely the Junior World 10 Dance Championships in the Czech Republic and the World Open Latin American Championships in Lithuania in 2007. He was also the winner of "Strictly Dancing" Series 3 on the ABC network.

Conrad has over 18 years experience in teaching Physical Theatre. Acrobatics, Acting, Improvisation, Mime, Mask, Circus Skills and Movement. He has taught in Drama Institutions, Theatre Companies and schools Australia wide. Conrad has also directed many stage productions for schools since 2002. He has been involved in the choreography of the famous opera A Midsummer Nights Dream directed by Baz Luhrman in 2000. In addition to his teaching, Conrad brings a wealth of skills to the faculty such as Stage Combat and Fight Choreography, Balance/Sports Acrobatics, Tumbling, Aerial /Abseiling, Breakdance and much more.
Elizabeth Rogers

Elizabeth has extensive experience working in musical theatre with her particular area of expertise being Stage Management. Some highlights of her work have been touring Australia and New Zealand with the children’s theatre production ‘Scooby Doo’ and stage managing the musical ‘Las Vegas’ in Sydney. She has recently been working as Associate producer for the film ‘Suing the Devil’.

Elisa trained at the Royal Ballet School’s teacher training course in London and on Scholarship at the Merce Cunningham studio in New York. Elisa toured with the production of ‘The King and I’. She has taught in London, New York, and in Sydney. Since 2004 Elisa has been a Ballet teacher at Lane Cove Dance Academy. In 2006 Elisa graduated from Wesley Institute with a Bachelor degree in Theology.
Nicole Serje

Nicole graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science (Hons) from University of Wollongong in 1998. Following this, she worked in Sydney in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and in personal training. In 2000, Nicole completed a Pilates Instructor training course through Vass & Shaw Pilates (now Leeon & Shaw Pilates), and in 2001 became certified with the Australian Pilates Method Association (APMA). Since then she has worked for Leeon & Shaw Pilates as a studio instructor, studio manager and has been involved in training instructors as part of the Leeon & Shaw Pilates Instructor training course.
Nicole first became interested in Pilates as a dance student. Having benefited from Pilates as a dancer, Nicole is passionate about the positive impact Pilates can have for dancers in rehabilitation and in the development of core strength and dance technique.
