Pathways

Wesley Institute invites graduates of St. Mark’s National Theological Centre holding both an Advanced Diploma AND a Graduate Diploma of Counselling to apply for entry into Wesley Institute’s Graduate Diploma of Counselling (with the possibility of later articulation into the Institute’s Master of Counselling) .

  • Combined, these St Mark’s awards meet the academic requirements for entry into the Graduate Diploma (subject to other normal admission requirements being met).  Recognition of prior learning may be also granted, but any such applications will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis subject to applicants’ demonstrating competency either through a video sample of their work, a written exam, or both.

“The course challenged me to expand my worldview and challenge my ideas about myself, relationships and God. The personal work we do in each subject is very revealing and took me on a personal journey.  - My favourite aspect was the peer support and friendships I gained in the course, which have continued, and the variety of counselling theories taught by passionate and supportive lecturers that that have helped me frame my theoretical approach.”
