During the final year of her studies, Wesley Institute Drama graduate Brooke Taylor secured a voluntary position in front of 200 applicants, working as production assistant and researcher for a lifestyle show on Fox, which involved travel to Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
Shortly thereafter, she secured a paid position for the ABC, researching and interviewing potential subjects for a documentary called ‘Aussie Postcards’, a fusion and celebration of South East Asian and Australian culture, due for release in the Asian Pacific in 2008. This involved Brooke researching first generation Asian immigrants from various backgrounds which have assimilated into Australian culture and established a life here in Australia with their family.
Currently, Brooke is well on her way to achieving her goal of being a Drama teacher. She has taught acting workshops for children with the National Institute for Performing Arts in Naremburn, and is currently working towards her Bachelor of Teaching.
